CLICK HERE: bit.ly How to Check a Hotel Room for Bed Bugs and Tips for Finding a Repellent for Travel. If you’re a traveler, you’re at risk of becoming a bed bug carrier, transporting bed bugs into your home. Here’s what you need to do to, to protect yourself. www.youtube.com When you arrive at a hotel room, DON’T put your luggage on the bed. Instead, put it in the bathtub, where it will be safe while you perform your room inspection. Pack a flashlight. Use it to check behind the headboard for bed bugs. Then check the mattress. Look along the seams. Check all the layers of bedding for small black or red spots, both are bed bug markings. Check the drawers and any crevices in wood furniture. Before you put your bags on the luggage stand, give it a close inspection, especially where the straps connect. Finally, just to be sure, purchase a good bed bug repellent. Use it on the bed and upholstered furniture. Here’s what to look for in a bed bug repellent for travel. You want it to be organic and non-toxic, especially if you are going to be using it around children and pets. If you can find it, get one that’s odorless. Get it in a pump spray instead of an aerosol. You don’t need over-spray filling the air. Make sure it comes in travel size, no larger than 2 ounces, the limit for liquids on planes. Ideally, it should also come in a pouch form, that you can toss into your luggage to protect it and your clothes. The best bed bug repellent for travelling is called 44X. You may have …
